Marc Cucurella’s late header boosted Chelsea’s chance of qualifying for next Champions League campaign as Manchester United winless run continued.

Gistzone reports that Cucurella’s 71st-minute goal earned  the Blues a 1-0 win over United.

A win at Nottingham Forest on the final day would seal a UCL spot, however seventh-placed Forest are still in the hunt themselves.

England will have six teams in next season’s Champions League the top five in the Premier League and the winners of the Europa League final between Manchester United and Tottenham.

The bonus fifth spot through the league came as a result of English teams’ good performances in Europe this season, with Spain also gaining one.

United have now lost 18 games in the league this season and are yet to hit 40 points, usually the target for teams to avoid relegation, with just one game left against Villa.
