Human rights lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju has said that President Bola Tinubu will plant Informants in the coalition to prevent it from working against him.

Adeyanju’s statement is coming, following a dramatic event which happened in Abuja on Sunday.

Recall that Gistzone had reported that some delegates from Jigawa State, were spotted in a viral video, disrupting the meeting, over alleged imposition of speaker by former secretary to the government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.

The coalition, organized by National Political Consultative Group (North), had in attendance former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and other stakeholders.

It was gathered that the delegates stormed the stage, blocking representative, said to have been presented by the former SGF.

They prevented him from speaking and insisting that they would not be represented by those named.

Following the drama, some security operatives quickly barricaded Atiku, Amaechi, and other prominent personalities at the event as tension rose.

Reacting to the controversy on Sunday, via his X page, Adeyanju alleged that Tinubu hates a united opposition.

He added that the former governor of Lagos State killed opposition groups when he was in power, at state’s level.

He said: “Tinubu will plant moles around all of them enough to make the coalition never work like it did in 2023.

“There’s nothing Tinubu hates more than a united opposition. He governed Lagos since 1999 by crushing opposition.”
