Super Falcons defeated Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 2-0 in their friendly game at Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade scored twice in the first half to help Nigeria maintain their dominance over Jean Baptiste Bisseck’s side.

Super Falcons dominated the opening exchanges, moving the ball around with confidence.

The breakthrough came for the Nigeria’s women in the 28th minute when they were awarded a penalty after Ajibade was knocked down inside the box eighteen.

The forward slotted the ball past former Bayelsa Queens goalkeeper Ange Gabriel Bawou.

She scored her second of the game two minutes before the break following a superb pass from Omorinsola Babajide.

No goal was recorded after the break despite good chances for both teams.

Gistzone reports that the friendly game with the Lionesses will be part of preparation for Super Falcons, ahead of 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which is scheduled to begin early next month in Morocco.
