Niger State Independent Electoral Commission, NSIEC, in a statement signed by the Commissioner 1 in charge of Operations, Barr Mohammed A. Liman, said the election which took place across the 25 LGCs on Saturday, November 1, 2025, was successful.

According to the statement, “Local government election that took place on Saturday November, 2025 was free, fair, and peaceful, with the APC clinching 271 out of 274 Wards, while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 3 Councillorship seats-two in Tafa and one in Rafi LGC”.
