Instead of recruiting another 100,000 young Nigerians into the military as directed by National Assembly, just to fight Boko Haram, here’s a more strategic idea:

Redeploy the current police officers into the Army, where their experience and numbers can immediately strengthen the fight against insurgency.

Then, recruit a fresh set of police officers who will undergo modern, world-class policing training, focused on intelligence, community policing, crime prevention, and professionalism.

This way, we tackle insecurity on both fronts:

✔️ A reformed, modern police force that truly serves and protects the people

Nigeria needs solutions that work — not just more numbers.
