The Rivers State Government has commissioned a new Neuropsychiatric and General Hospital Complex in Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, marking a major development in healthcare infrastructure in the state.

The world-class medical facility was built by MCC Nigeria Limited and commissioned under the administration of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

The hospital features modern medical infrastructure and a wide range of equipment designed to support quality healthcare delivery.

Among the facilities and equipment are advanced operating theatre tables, surgical lights, anaesthesia machines, patient monitoring systems, suction equipment and medical trolleys.

The complex also includes specialised neonatal care equipment, modern hospital wards, diagnostic and treatment areas, as well as dedicated mental health care facilities.

The facility is expected to provide residents with improved access to comprehensive medical and mental health services while strengthening healthcare delivery across Rivers State.

The commissioning of the Rumuigbo hospital complex highlights ongoing efforts to expand and modernise public healthcare infrastructure in the state.
