La Liga president Javier Tebas has launched a scathing attack on FIFA, accusing the governing body of damaging the global football industry and calling for FIFA president Gianni Infantino to resign.
Speaking during his visit to the United States, Tebas claimed the current leadership has created a system that is “sick at the source,” arguing that there is no genuine opposition within FIFA because potential challengers believe they cannot win.
He also said many figures in football privately disagree with Infantino’s leadership but fail to speak out publicly, questioning whether their silence is as harmful as the issues they criticize.
Tebas warned that the continued lack of accountability is hurting the future of football and renewed his call for significant reforms within FIFA’s leadership and governance.
