Dele Momodu, a prominent leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to closely monitor the growing political tensions surrounding the upcoming Osun State governorship election.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Momodu described the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s performance in Osun as “a failure”, while alleging that the ruling party is treating the election as a test run for the 2027 general elections.

He stressed that developments in Osun could have wider political implications ahead of 2027 and urged President Tinubu to pay close attention as campaigns intensify.

“President Bola Tinubu, if you’re watching me, I am pleading with you. We are embarrassed. Wherever we go, people ask us, ‘What is happening?’” Momodu said.

His comments come amid heightened political activities and growing attention from parties and their supporters ahead of Saturday’s governorship poll.
