Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface will remain at Bayer Leverkusen as his move to Saudi Arabia club, Al Nassr collapsed.

Gistzone reports that the Saudi Pro League side opted not to complete the deal over some undisclosed reasons.

This was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, via his verified Facebook account on Wednesday night.

Romano said: “Victor Boniface and Al Nassr, deal OFF.

“Nigerian striker won’t join the club, deal was advance, however never done as Al Nassr never gave final green light.”

Also speaking over the development on Wednesday, after Champions League’s 2-0 victory against Sparta Praha,  Bayern Leverkusen manager, Xavi Alonso, confirmed that the Nigeria forward will remain with the Bundesliga champion.

He said: “He will train again tomorrow. I believe he is staying with us.

“So I have to say that I am satisfied, I am happy.

“He is comfortable here so I don’t believe that this is a big stress for him.”
